WV Update:  Mercer County Tables MSN, Schedules Public  Hearing for 12/20


Thanks to the numerous phone calls, letters, and large number of concerned responsible dog owners who attended the December 13 hearing, the Mercer County Commission has agreed to table the proposed ordinance that would have imposed mandatory spay/neuter and breeder licensing requirements on county residents.

A second public hearing has been scheduled for Tuesday, December 20, to allow residents another opportunity to address the commission on this issue.  The meeting details are as follows:

Responsible dog owners who wish to contact the commission and/or attend the hearing are encouraged to thank them for tabling the ordinance and politely ask them to continue working with responsible dog owners to reach a more reasonable solution.
