VA Committee Recommends Delaying Debarking Bill Until 2013

The Virginia House Agriculture Subcommittee has recommended that House Bill 158, which sought to add debarking to the Commonwealth’s animal cruelty laws, be continued to 2013.  This means that the bill will not be considered this year.

The American Kennel Club congratulates the Virginia Federation of Dog Clubs and Breeders and the numerous responsible dog owners in Virginia who worked to educate the sponsor and subcommittee on this issue.
