The AKC Advanced Non Sporting Dog Institute

The AKC Advanced Non Sporting Dog Institute

The AKC conducted an Institute that covered all of the Non Sporting Breeds, October 11-14, 2004. The location was the Hyatt at the airport in San Jose, California. The Parent Clubs of the Non Sporting breeds were each contacted to provide a presenter for the breed and to coordinate the dogs that were present for the hands on session that follows the breed presentation. Every breed in the Non Sporting Group was represented with a parent club presentation.

There were 61 attendees from all over the US, including Alaska, attending this multi-day event. Many attendees took advantage of attending the numerous specialties and the Del Valle Dog Club of Livermore following the conclusion of the Institute to further enhance their educational experience.

Comments from attendees:

“Great experience, wonderful dogs and presentations!”

“Riveting speaker, it was a pleasure to hear from some one so passionate about their breed!”
