PDF display freezing using Internet Explorer
AKC has found a bug with the Adobe 10.1.* products that causes the browser to freeze when trying to display a PDF from our site using the latest versions of Internet Explorer. Adobe has acknowledged the issue and is working on a fix. The issue occurs due to the combination of Adobe Acrobat 10.1.* products, Internet Explorer 8.x and 9.x and the version of the web server software that AKC utilizes. AKC cannot change our web software due to restrictions we must maintain to insure compliance with processing data, including financial data, in a reliable and secure fashion.
Temporary Work Around – If you experience a frozen browser, a grey or black screen when attempting to view a PDF on our site, please hit the BACK button within the browser and then select the desired PDF a second time. The second attempt to load a PDF has proven to be effective in testing.
Thanks for your patience and understanding as we work to see this problem resolved. We will post an update to this article as we get more information about solutions.
