OK Update: Ask Tulsa City Council to Support Hobby Breeders/Exhibitors
Thanks to the numerous phone calls and letters received in July, the Tulsa City Council tabled a proposal that would have prevented those with a hobbyist license from owning more than three dogs.
The AKC Government Relations Department has learned that the City Council may again discuss animal welfare laws and hobbyist permits at the Public Works Committee hearing scheduled for tomorrow, August 9, at 8:00 a.m.
Responsible dog owners and breeders in Tulsa are encouraged to contact the members of the City Council and consider attending tomorrow’s hearing to educate the Council about the value and importance of AKC dog shows and responsible dog breeding.
