OHIO UPDATE: Senate Committee May Vote on Dangerous Dog Legislation Tomorrow (12/13)


The AKC has learned that the Senate Judiciary Committee will hold a third hearing tomorrow on House Bill 14, which would remove the breed-specific language that has been in statute for over 20 years.

It is possible that the committee will vote at this hearing, and therefore responsible Ohio dog owners are encouraged to attend the Judiciary Committee hearing if possible and also to contact the committee members regarding this important piece of legislation.  Read AKC’s previous Legislative Alert to learn more about this legislation, AKC’s remaining concerns with the proposal, and how to contact the committee.
