The AKC/USA World Agility Championship team for 2005 spent the past weekend practicing for the September 23-25 event in Valladolid, Spain. The twelve dog and handlers flew into Minnesota and faced the most ideal weather possible. The three teams of 14", 18" and 26" jump heights had two days filled with difficult courses that were samples of the judges they will face in Spain. The Coach, Dan Dege and Assistant Coach, Nancy Gyes offered training and handling advice to improve each teams performance. The surface in the soccer arena was the same as is expected to be used in Spain, a grass like carpet. The handlers and dogs never tired and gave their all on each and every run, they are prepared.
The teams offered special thank you's to the sponsors of Iams Dog Food and Clean Run Productions. Mark Godsil of J & J Dog Supplies gave up a weekend to drive the Iams Dog Food International equipment to practice for the team to use. The team was given their uniforms supplied by Iams Dog Food and made by Signature Gear. It is now on to Valladolid, beautiful Spain and their opportunity to be the best in the World.
