Prospective new dog owners recently received advice from AKC Staff on how to select the best breed for their lifestyle.

The AKC Community Events Team presented the free program, "Choosing the Right Breed for You" on Saturday, Aug. 23 at the Cameron Village Regional Library in Raleigh, NC.

Staff gave a slide presentation with information on what to consider before you purchase a dog and how to select the best breed for their homes, family and lifestyles. They distributed AKC literature, coloring books, breed posters and information on the upcoming AKC Responsible Dog Ownership Day (Sept. 27).

AKC also presented a copy of the AKC's "Complete Dog Book for Kids" to the library.

Staff members' dogs greeted the audience members. Breeds representing every group, plus the Foundation Stock Service, attended.
