The American Kennel Club and the AKC Canine Health Foundation will be presenting a Canine Breeder's Symposium in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on January 27th and 28th, 2007. The symposium is open to all breeders, experienced and novice, plus anyone with a true dedication to dogs. The program will include topics relevant to a modern and responsible approach to canine medicine and breeding. The symposium will offer dog breeders a forum to meet, learn and share ideas, concerns and expertise. Hosted by the University of Pennsylvania, the event will feature such speakers as Claudia Orlandi, PhD, Deborah Greco, DVD, DACVN, Mark Oyama, DVM, DACVIM, James Serpell, PhD and Margaret Casal, PhD.

Among the many topics to be discussed will be the ABC's of Dog Breeding, Canine Nutrition, Canine Cardiac Disease, Canine Reproduction and Vaccination Protocols. The cost of attendance is $135. CE and clock hours units available for Veterinarians and Vet Techs.
