The American Kennel Club and the AKC Canine Health Foundation will be presenting a Canine Breeder's Symposium in Oregon on September 22 and 23, 2007. The symposium is open to all breeders, experienced and novice, plus anyone with a true dedication to dogs. The program will include topics relevant to a modern and responsible approach to canine medicine and breeding. The symposium will offer dog breeders a forum to meet, learn, and share ideas, concerns and expertise. Hosted by the Oregon State University College of Veterinary Medicine, the event will feature such speakers as: Jon Plant, DVM, DACVD speaking on Canine Pediatric Dermatology; Wendy Baltzer, DVM, PhD, DACVS speaking on Canine Rehabilitation and Physical Therapy; Bernard Seguin, DVM, MS, DACVS and Stuart Helfand speaking on Canione Cancer, DVM; Michelle Kutzler, DVM, PhD, on Canine Reproduction, Kathryn Meurs, DVM, PhD, speaking on Canine Cardiology, Kristin Patton, DVM, PhD, DACVP on Canine Vaccination Protocols, and others.

The cost of attendance for this day-and-a-half symposium is $125, which includes materials, breakfast both days, lunch on Saturday and parking.
