The American Kennel Club and the AKC Canine Health Foundation will be presenting a Canine Breeder’s Symposium in East Lansing, Michigan on April 14th and 15th, 2007. The symposium is open to all breeders, experienced and novice, plus anyone with a true dedication to dogs. The program will include topics relevant to a modern and responsible approach to canine medicine and breeding. The symposium will offer dog breeders a forum to meet, learn and share ideas, concerns and expertise. Hosted by the Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine, the event will feature such speakers as:
Claudia Orlandi, PhD giving her renowned lecture on the ABC’s OF DOG BREEDING; Bari Olivier, DVM on CANINE CARDIAC DISEASE; Cheri Johnson, DVM on CANINE REPRODUCTION; L. Ari Jutkowicz, VMD on REPRODUCTION EMERGENCIES; Simon Petersen-Jones, DVM on CANINE EYE DISEASES; T.A. Zachos, DVM on CANINE ORTHOPEDICS; Eddie Dzuik speaking on the Canine Health Information Center; and Deborah Greco, DVM on Nutrition.
The cost of attendance for this day-and-a-half symposium is $125, which includes materials, breakfast both days, lunch on Saturday and parking.
