The American Kennel Club and the AKC Canine Health Foundation will be presenting a Canine Breeders' Symposium hosted by Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana on June 28 & 29, 2008. The symposium is open to all breeders, experience and novice, plus anyone with a true dedication to dogs. The program will include topics relevant to a modern and responsible approach to canine breeding and medicine. The symposium will offer dog breeders a forum to meet, learn and share ideas, concerns and expertise. The event will feature such speakers as the renowned Claudia Orlandi, PhD presenting her ABC's of Breeding program, Eddie Dzuik speaking on the Canine Health Information Center, Sheryl Krohne, DVM, MS, Dipl. ACVO speaking on Canine Eye Diseases, Gert Breur, DVM, PhD, Dipl. ACVS talking on Pediatric Orthopedics, George Moore, DVM, PHD, Dipl. ACVIM on Vaccinations, Steve Thompson, DVM, Dipl. AVBP discussing Senior Care, and others who will speak on canine breeding and health issues.

This is a one and a half day program. The cost of attendance is $135. This course has been submitted (but not yet approved) for 7 hours of continuing educational credits.
