The American Kennel Club and the AKC Canine Health Foundation will be presenting a Canine Breeder’s Symposium in Springfield, Missouri on August 11th and 12th, 2007. The symposium is open to all breeders, experienced and novice, plus anyone with a true dedication to dogs. The program will include topics relevant to a modern and responsible approach to canine breeding and medicine. The symposium will offer dog breeders a forum to meet, learn and share ideas, concerns and expertise. The event will feature such speakers as renowned breeder and AKC dog judge, Patricia V. Trotter, Beverly Purswell, DVM, PhD, Leigh Anne Clark, PhD, Deborah Greco, DVM, PhD, DAVCIM and more.

Among the many topics to be discussed will be The Bred By Exhibitor Experience, Canine Reproduction, Use of Genetic Tests, and Nutrition for Canine Reproduction. The cost of attendance is $125. This course has been submitted (but not yet approved) for 7 hours of continuing education credits.
