The American Kennel Club and the AKC Canine Health Foundation will be presenting a Canine Breeders' Symposium at the Chapparel Suites Resort in Scottsdale, Arizona on October 25 and 26, 2008. The symposium is open to all breeders, experience and novice, plus anyone with a true dedication to dogs. The program will include topics relevant to a modern and responsible approach to canine breeding and medicine. The symposium will offer dog breeders a forum to meet, learn, and share ideas, concerns and expertise. The event will feature such speakers as the renowned Claudia Orlandi, PhD presenting her ABC's of Dog Breeding program, Peggy Root-Kustritz, DVM, PhD, DACT speaking on Canine Reproduction, Margaret Casal, DVM, PhD on Vaccination, Deborah Greco DVM, PhD talking on Nutriltion, Tom Graves, DVM, PhD on Endocronology, Petra Metens, DVM, PhD will talk on Canine Behavior, and others who will speak on canine breedig and health issues.

This a one and a half day program. The cost of attendance is $135. This course has been submitted (but not yet approved) for 7 hours of continuing educational credits.
