AKC and AKC CHF Breeders Symposium to be held in Knoxville, Tennessee

The American Kennel Club and the AKC Canine Health Foundation will be presenting a Canine Breeders' Symposium in Knoxville, Tennessee on August 4th and 5th, 2007. The symposium is open to all breeders, experienced and novice, plus anyone with a true dedication to dogs. The program will include topics relevant to a modern and responsible approach to canine breeding and medicine. The symposium will offer dog breeders a forum to meet, learn and share ideas, concerns and expertise. Hosted by the university of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine, the event will feature such speakers as Jerold Bell, DVM, Tulio Prado, DVM, MS, DACT, Jeff Phillips, DVM, PhD, DACVIM, Deborah Greco, DVM, PhD, DACVIM, Amy LeBlanc, DVM and more.

Among the many topics to be discussed will be Building and Better Breeding Program, Canine Reproduction, Use of Genetic Testing, Nutrition, and Canine Oncology. The cost of attendance is $125. This course has been submitted (but not yet approved) for 7 hours of continuing education credits.
