The American Kennel Club and the AKC Canine Health Foundation will be presenting a Canine Breeders' Symposium in Dallas, Texas on August 25th and 26th, 2007. The symposium is open to all breeders, experienced and novice, plus anyone with a true dedication to dogs. The program will include topics relevant to a modern and responsible approach to canine breeding and medicine. The symposium will offer dog breeders a forum to meet, learn and share ideas, concerns and expertise. The event will feature such speakers as Keith Murphy, PhD, Leigh Anne Clark, PhD, Eddie Dzuik from the Canine Health Information Center, Deborah Greco, DVM, PhD, DACVIM, George Lees, DVM, MS, Christine Rees, DVM, MS.

Among the many topics to be discussed will be Canine Reproduction, Canine Genetics, Use of Genetics Tests, the Canine Health Information Center, and Nutrition for Canine Reproduction, Canine Renal Diseases and Canine Dermatology. The cost of attendance is $125. This course has been submitted (but not yet been approved) for 7 hours of continuing education credits.
