Meet the Details
Q: What can I look forward to at Meet the Breeds™?
A: MEET THE BREEDS WILL TAKE PLACE ON SATURDAY, OCTOBER 17, AND SUNDAY, OCTOBER 18, FROM 10 A.M. TO 5 P.M. EACH DAY. With 160 dog breeds and 41 cat breeds, plus demonstrations, shopping and children's activities, no pet lover will want to miss this unique and fun-filled event. Each breed will be presented in its own designated space, decorated to reflect its heritage, characteristics and attributes as a pet. You will be able to pet the dogs, cats, puppies and kittens and learn about them directly from breed experts.
The event is proudly presented by PetPartners, Inc., a leading pet healthcare provider, and will feature over 115,000 square feet of dog and cat festivities, including dozens of retailers, ongoing demonstrations (such as law enforcement K9s, grooming, agility, obedience, dog/cat breed showcases and an educational cat show), plus booths where the public can come talk to trainers, groomers, vets and other pet experts, one-on-one.
Q: How will the dogs and cats be presented?
A: Every breed will have its own 10 x 10 booth hosted by representatives from the national breed club (for dogs) or council (for cats) such as the Portuguese Water Dog Club of America and the Siamese Breed Council. Each of the 200 booths will be decorated to reflect the history and characteristics of the breeds and there will be experts on hand to answer your questions and introduce you to the dogs and cats.
A free event program will be provided to every attendee. Saturday's attendees will receive a ballot in their program, inviting them to vote for a favorite in the "Best Dog Booth in Show" and the "Best Cat Booth in Show" categories! The winning booths will be announced at a special ceremony during Sunday's event. The coveted awards -- $500 for both the best dog and cat booth -- are sponsored by WebVet.com.
Q: Is there an hour-by-hour schedule of the demonstrations and other activities?
