Virginia House Bill 1570, which sees to mandate the spaying or neutering of companion animals, will be heard by Subcommittee #1 of the House Committee on Agriculture, Chesapeake, and Natural Resources, at 7:30AM, Tuesday, January 29th, 2008, on the 4th Floor West Conference Room in the General Assembly Building in Richmond. The American Kennel Club, and its Virginia federation, the Virginia Federation of Dog Clubs and Breeders, encourages all concerned breeders and owners to e-mail or call the subcommittee members listed below and voice your vehement opposition to the bill. Additionally, all concerned breeders and owners are encouraged to attend the subcommittee hearing tomorrow to show your opposition to the bill.
If the bill is reported favorably out tomorrow’s subcommittee meeting, HB 1570 will be considered by the full House Committee on Agriculture, Chesapeake, and Natural Resources on Wednesday, January 30th, 2008, at 8:30AM, in House Room C in the General Assembly Building.
