The North Carolina House of Representatives has passed House Bill 159, which would define certain dog owners as “large commercial dog breeders” based solely on the number of intact female dogs they own.  Read AKC’s previous Legislative Alert for details on this legislation.

The bill now heads to the Senate, where it has been assigned to the Ways and Means Committee.
