On 11/12/2010 an email was sent to all exhibitors with information about the event. There was a problem with the links in the initial email. A corrected email was sent and the links are listed below:

New Invitation PDF allows you to fill and save your dog’s name and title information

On Wednesday, October 27th there will be a "One Week Left" notice sent to all eligible dogs for the 2010 AKC/Eukanuba National Championship.

In this e-mail you will find a link to an updated invitation PDF that allows you to enter your dogs name on the invitation. Once you have typed in your dogs name and titles you should print it on a nice quality stock. This document may also be saved once your information has been entered.

If you did not receive any of the previous invites please check your spam folders for any AKC notices which will contain your invite and entry information. If you see your dogs name on any of the qualifying lists it is fine to enter.

If you think you have a dog that should be listed and is not please contact: Michael Canalizo at: mlc@akc.org be sure to include the dogs Breed, Name , AKC Reg. Number and the way you think they are qualified in order to research the inquiry properly.

Any late requests for Puppy/BBE, Puppy/Amateur Owner Handled, Miscellaneous and the International dogs will have to be hand processed and that cut off date will be the closing date of November 3rd 2010.

Amateur Owner Handled Class

In the spirit of consistency we are offering eligibility to those dogs that obtain their championships Shown by their Amateur Owner Handler with wins from the Puppy Class and/or Amateur Owner Handled Class. This follows the same criteria as that of the Puppy/BBE qualifications:

Dogs earning their championship during the qualifying period with all of their points earned as Amateur/Owner handled originating from Puppy and/or Amateur Owner Handled class may be eligible for an invitation. All of the points do not have to be earned during the qualifying period, but the championship does. Send this downloadable form to request an invitation based on these criteria, please email Michael Canalizo at mlc@akc.org.

FINAL TABULATIONS COMPLETED

The qualifying period for the show closed on October 12, 2010. The AKC is has processed all the results from shows held up to October 12, 2010.

E-mail invitations have been sent to the all of the qualifiers from all of the lists and information about those dogs has been submitted to Onofrio.

The final e-mail invitations were sent out today and eligibility information has already been sent to Onofrio to allow entries to be accepted.

Photos for the "Online Catalog."
The Online Catalog is getting to be one of the most popular means of sharing your dogs photo with the "World."

Not only can you submit up to four photos of your entry it will be aligned with all your dog’s information that is in the show catalog. Dog and Owners names, Sire, Dam, Date of Birth and breeder(s). This hugely successful option is available up to and after the show date. See all the Photo submission information here.

SPECIAL MESSAGE TO THOSE CONTACTING AKC ABOUT THEIR QUALIFICATION!

Now that the Premium List is online and Invites are being sent our office is getting a lot of inquires on dog’s eligibility.

I’d like you to review the following which will help in answering your inquiries.

  • Please include your dogs’ Breed, Name, AKC Registration Number and how you think the dog might be qualified in any correspondence.
  • Only dogs in the Top 15 had an invite sent and the final Top 25 will be notified on or about Oct.25th.
  • Please take note: Our qualifying period goes from Oct. 8th, 2009 to Oct. 12th, 2010. The Top Dogs Breed Points are counted from that time frame only. We do not follow the Jan to Dec standings.
  • If you have a Dog who became eligible either by a BIS, GCH, BBE.CH., Amateur Owner Handled CH., National Specialty Breed and any new dogs in the Top 15 of their Breed: after Sept. 12th, 2010 you can expect an e-mail with your invite on or about Oct. 6th. Any dogs who are confirmed after that date can expect notification on or about Oct. 25th. That will be the final round for the qualifiers.
  • All International Dogs who are included on a countries list should enter at: www.onofrio.com and follow the directions for an International Entry. Any special request for an International Qualifier that is NOT on a list should contact Michael Canalizo directly at: mlc@akc.org
  • The Miscellaneous Breed List will be updated early next week, if not sooner.
  • All Puppy/BBE requests have to send in the form in order to be invited. Dogs as Breeder/Owner/Handled with wins from Puppy and/or BBE are NOT AUTOMATIC and the form must be submitted and confirmed before an invite can be sent.
  • Please check/review the "News and Updates" link for all the latest announcements for the show.
  • ALL Online Photo submissions for the Online Catalog and Show Results pages have to be done electronically and we can accept these photos up to the date of the show.
  • If you didn’t receive an invite with any of the scheduled notifications, please contact my office to check the correct e-mail is on file.

The 2010 AKC/EUKANUBA National Championship is open for entry to all who have received an invitation via email from the AKC. TOP 25 2010 QUALIFIERS

Invitations have been sent to the top 15 in each breed (by breed points only). Another email will be sent to all qualifiers after the qualifying periods ends (10/12/10) and results processed. All invitations are subject to final review after results are tabulated.

Our Show Now Scheduled on a Major Network for Broadcast!

We announced yesterday that the 2010 AKC/Eukanuba National Championship will be aired Sunday afternoon, January 23, 2011 on The ABC Network. This great enhancement to the event will bring more viewers to the National Championship than ever before.

This breakout opportunity switching from cable channels to a national network will have the top dogs shown in households across the nation by millions of viewers.

Along with this new exposure we will be able to offer more online coverage of all our major competitions. This should include The Bred-by-Exhibitor Groups and BIS, The Junior Showmanship Finals, The AKC Humane Fund ACE Awards, The AKC Breeder of the Year Awards, and the full Opening Ceremonies and finals of the Eukanuba World Challenge.

You can add to these highlights with pictures of your entry included in the online catalog and our results pages. These pages are archived online and viewed by a worldwide audience. All ads for the show catalog will also be linked to our results pages. Please check the Premium List for all the details on these offerings or click here for more information.

The Premium List is now online and entries can be made once your either receive your e-mailed invite or if your dogs name appears on one of the qualifying lists that is not subject to an eligibility period.

Amateur Owner Handled champions to be invited to the AKC/Eukanuba National Championship. All dogs completing their Championship with ALL points earned from the Amateur Owner Handled Class during the current and prior Qualifying periods of October 8, 2008 to October 7, 2009 will be invited to the 2010 AKC/Eukanuba National championship.

A Special opening has been created for the Eukanuba Breeder’s Stakes Champion in the Eukanuba World Challenge!

There is wonderful opportunity for an AKC Breeder to earn a spot in the 2010 Eukanuba World Challenge. The Eukanuba Breeder’s Stakes competitions offer the four winning breeder’s a chance to compete in Long Beach where the victor will have a berth in the Eukanuba World Challenge being held as a Special Attraction at the AKC/Eukanuba National Championship.
