Requirements
- Have proof of having
seven years experience showing dogs for a fee.
(Show each year that a person worked as an apprentice for not more than two AKC Registered Handlers, may substitute for up to one year of the seven years of required experience, with a maximum of four years as an apprentice.)
- Provide a current rate schedule and handler/client contract.
- Care, custody
and control liability insurance.
- Have kennel facilities
that meet AKC recommended criteria.
- Have adequate
vehicle to transport show dogs.
- Must sign the Code of Ethics for Registered Handlers.
