Guangdong All Breed Kennel Club holds its first "Dog Carnival" Event

On Feb 14th, 2009 in Guangdong, dog enthusiasts from around China participated in a variety of events including obstacle races, Frisbee competitions, and an Obedience and Agility demonstrations. The event’s goal was to educate local spectators about exciting dog events and the National General Kennel Club (NGKC). Additionally, the event provided an opportunity for dog clubs to join NGKC and local dog owners to register with NGKC for a microchip, DNA profile, and official NGKC Registration Certificate.

Presidents and leaders from various All Breed Clubs (Beijing, Guangdong, Guangxi, Hubei and Sichuan) also held their first club meeting in 2009. At the meeting, the member clubs worked together to gain consensus on how to organize future dog shows. NGKC will work to establish an official operation manual, which can facilitate good communication between member clubs and NGKC.

NGKC will continue to organize trainings and similar activities throughout 2009 which will promote responsible dog ownership.
