2009 AKC National Tracking Invitational

• August 21, 2009 – At 9:00 am this morning, the official drawing for the Champion Trackers that will be participating in the fourth AKC National Tracking Invitational took place at the American Kennel Club office in Raleigh, NC.

  Curt Curtis, AVP of Companion Events, pulled the CT patches to determine which team the 10 participants and their Champion Tracker dogs will be on. This was followed by the alternate draw from the remaining entries received. Lisa Strickland, Trial Secretary, Andy Hartman, Director of Agility, Bobby Birdsong, Director of Event Operations, the Companion Events Department, and other AKC Staff were present for the draw.

  We have 10 entries, plus 28 alternates for this year’s event. Congratulations to all the Champion Tracking dogs and their owners!!!

  

• August 20, 2009 – Entries officially closed as of 4:00 pm Wednesday, August 19th
  The draw will take place Friday, August 21, 2009 at 9:00 am.
