2009 AKC National Tracking Invitational

Judges, tracklayers and volunteers from around the country and the Greater Louisville Training Club and Mid-Kentucky Kennel Club gathered Thursday evening at the Garden Center at Bernheim Arboretum in Clermont, Kentucky to view the area and begin plotting strategies for the 2009 AKC National Tracking Invitational (NTI). The two teams agreed on how best to divide the site. Plans were set to meet Friday morning to bring the vision into action.
Team One
Judges: Frances Smith & Jerry Lewis
Chief Tracklayer: Terry McGauley
Tracklayers: Margi Lehnertz, Marge Schultz, Jim Roberson, Moe Foley & Betsy Baird
Team Two
Judges: Terri Everwine & Ronald Simmons
Chief Tracklayer: Tony Ginter
Tracklayers: Mary Ginter, Laura Felt, Linda Hurst, Teresa Higgins & Ken Barna
Friday morning, once the judges approved the tracking articles, each team set off to plot five fantastic tracks. The weather cooperated, teams worked together well, and each track went in smoothly. Both teams finished plotting duties just after noon.
Friday night concluded with the judges' dinner.
