Team Two Participant - Peter Harrington
Peter Harrington lives in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains where his interest in dogs naturally gravitated toward Search and Rescue. He currently has two dogs certified in Wilderness Trailing and Cadaver. In the past his Bloodhound, Bella, has been certified in water cadaver detection. Bella has participated in over eighty searches throughout California. Aside from Search and Rescue, Peter and his dogs take on occasional law enforcement assignments. Peter also enjoys obedience competition and protection work. He belongs to a Schutzhund club and is currently working on a Schutzhund 2 title with his German Shepherd Dog, Khybur. On Peter's days off he takes his dogs hiking or looking for "geocaches" which is essentially the same as a non discriminatory evidence search.
Peter has an abiding interest in scent discrimination problems and is constantly experimenting with new equipment and training procedures.
