Team Two Participant - Carol Clark


Carol Clark Carol Clark started tracking with her Siberian puppy Otis when he was 5 months old. As a puppy, Otis was too awkward for the conformation ring, and not mentally mature enough to begin obedience. Carol's club, the Greater Kansas City Dog Training Club was very active in tracking and it seemed like a good sport for him get started in. Otis and Carol started their tracking career in November 1992 and finished his Champion Tracker title on June 19, 2004. Otis is the first Siberian Husky to have achieved the CT title.

Carol has been active in AKC conformation and obedience since 1977 but tracking became the favorite sport when she started it in 1992. She has earned conformation and tracking titles on three other Siberian Huskies. Carol also owns three Border Collies the third youngest Border Collie is in training.

Carol became a tracking judge in 1998 and is now approved to judge all three levels. Professionally Carol is the Senior Nurse at the Kansas City Ford Assembly Plant. She stays very busy taking care of injured autoworkers. She is a board member and the tracking coordinator for her club, helping at all the local tests, in one position or another.
