2005 AKC National Tracking Invitational
Alternate - Amy Vose

Amy Vose has been training dogs for obedience for nearly 26 years and has been involved in tracking for three years.

Amy's canine companion for the 2005 AKC National Tracking Invitational is her German Shepherd Dog CT Ashmead's Zinka Milanov CD, "Zinka." Zinka is the daughter of her OTCH CT Ashmead's Con Brio of Dulcimr, UDX. Amy started tracking Zinka when she was a little over a year old. She quickly earned her TD in 2001 and her TDX in 2002.

Zinka worked on her Variable SurfaceTracking almost as an afterthought while Amy was pursuing the VST title with Brio. Whenever Amy was out with her tracking partner, Sylvia Schultz, they would run Zinka on one of the tracks that they had put in for their "primary" tracking dogs. She was doing so well that they decided to put a track in just for Zinka. Soon afterwards she entered her first VST test. Fortunately for Amy, Zinka did not require the intensive time and energy that Brio demanded, finishing her Variable Surface Tracking title and Champion Tracker title in the fall of 2003.

Amy has expanded her tracking training to other dogs, including Zinka's niece. Amy looks forward to showcasing Zinka's talented nose at the National Tracking Invitational. Amy resides in Paw Paw, Illinois.
