Alternate - Donna Cordoba
In September of 2001, Donna and Brandy began tracking with a small group of Donna's agility students. Tracking did not come naturally to this team. Donna was not fond of the ticks and harmless garter snakes occasionally found in the field and Brandy, known as "The Princess" to her friends, hated the scratchy cover, but what this team lacked in talent, they made up for in persistence.
In September of 2003, Brandy passed her certification on her second try. In November of the same year she earned her TD title, after two unsuccessful attempts. The VST and Champion Tracker titles seemed an impossible dream to this team, but in the spring of 2004, something clicked, and Brandy became a very proficient tracker! Later that fall, she passed the TDX on her first attempt. In May of 2005 Brandy and Donna finally passed the VST test on their third attempt and Brandy became the 14th Rottweiler to achieve the Champion Tracker title.
Donna and Brandy also enjoy obedience and agility competition. Brandy is a member of Medallion Rottweiler Club's Hall of Fame and holds the American Rottweiler Club's Versatility Excellent Award. Brandy has been in the Agility Top Ten for a number of years.
Donna is a member of the American Rottweiler Club, Medallion Rottweiler Club, and serves on the Board of Directors for the Wisconsin-Illinois Agility Group where she teaches Level 2 and 3 classes. Donna is also a member of the Pecatonica Tracking Club, and serves as the Test Secretary for their TD test every October.
