Bettywas involved in the early stages of Search and Rescue training with the German Shepherd Dog Club of Washington State and served in numerous officer positions and was involved in many other areas of those clubs' activities.

Betty bred and owned several Champion German Shepherds and put obedience titles and tracking titles on them, as well as on her Miniature Poodles and Papillons.

She also instructed obedience, tracking and conformation handling classes for the German Shepherd Dog Club of Washington State.

Her role as a Field Representative is to provide any and all assistance to the sponsoring AKC club; observe, assist, critique, train and interview judges and prospective judges; and provide information and assistance to participants and spectators so they can better understand our sports.
