Hendersonville Kennel Club
The Foothills Dog Show Circuit is a three day event held at the Palmetto International Expo Center in Greenville, South Carolina. Spectators and handlers packed the Expo Center on Saturday. Conformation, Obedience and the newest AKC event, Rally, were being held at the Expo Center.We covered Rally at the Hendersonville Kennel Club show on Saturday, February 19. The largest Rally class on Saturday was Rally Novice B. Judge Nancy Davis welcomed all of the handlers and reminded everyone that the game is all about the privilege of working with their teammate.
In Rally, dog and handler perform all exercises near the signs; either in front of or in front and to the left of the signs. Exercises included: 1. Straight Figure 8/Weave Twice, 2. Left Turn, 3. 270 Right, 4. Halt, 1 Step/2 Steps/3 Steps, 5. Call Front/Finish Left/Forward, 6. Right Turn, 7. Right Turn, 8. Halt/Sit/Down, 9. 360 Right, 10. Left About Turn, 11. Fast Pace, 12. Normal Pace, 13. 270 Left, 14. Call Front/Finish Right/Halt and 15. Serpentine/Weave Once.
