USA--Team Competes at Cruft's for Second Time

The American Kennel Club announces the members of the AKC's 2005 Obedience World Cup Team to compete in the UK at the prestigious Cruft's Dog Show. The US team consists of three canine/handler teams and one alternate. They were selected from the top Obedience Trial Champion (OTCH) dogs in the country.

This year we have two additional alternate dog/handler teams from the top OTCH dog list. These two teams will be on stand-by in case one of the Obedience World Cup teams is not able to compete the next alternate will fill in for the U.S.

The Crufts International Obedience Test will be held on Sunday, March 13th, 2005 at the National Exhibition Centre, Birmingham, England. Teams from around the world have been invited to compete. The test will represent a mixture of exercises taken from The Kennel Club (UK) and AKC Obedience competitions, as well as the 2003 FCI World Obedience Championships.
