Lure Coursing
Sighthound Organization of Tidewater Lure Coursing Event
Oct. 1, 2006 - Williamsburg, Va.

By Robert A. (Bob) Mason, AKC Senior Executive Field Representative

On the first weekend in October, the Sighthound Organization of Tidewater, (SHOT), held an AKC all-breed lure coursing event at Chickahominy Riverfront Park in historical Williamsburg, Va. The field was large and had enough terrain to really test the dogs.

Even though it rained Friday night, the weather turned into one of the best weekends of the year. The two-day trial attracted a total entry of 119 plus an additional 18 entered in the Junior Courser test.

The club hospitality crew had coffee and doughnuts each morning and served up a great lunch each day.
