Gordon Setter Club of America

November 22-23, 2008 - Gordon, GA

Scharpf’s farm near the small central Georgia town of Gordon was the site of the fall Pointing Breed hunt test hosted by the Gordon Setter Club of America. Property owners Nickolaus and Aline Scharpf have developed their farm into a great venue for Pointing hunt test, and make the property available to several clubs for events.

Good and varied fields of pointing breeds were represented at the event with and entry of 35 on Saturday and 34 for the Sunday event.

Weather on Saturday was rather brisk and cold in the morning with a low of 25 and moderate winds, this rather unexpected cold snap for central Georgia had all donning heavy coats and sweaters in the morning, but by mid day the temperatures had rose to the low 50’s, Sunday found the temperatures to be a little more seasonal for the area.

Event Chairman Steven Donahue and his entire committee worked very hard to see that the event began promptly both mornings, the committee and judges kept the event moving along nicely and we would like to thank them for giving of their time to put the event on and see that all in attendance had a good time.
