As ‘s breeder, owner and handler, I was thrilled to hear that he is the first dog to earn a Master Herding title! He finished his AKC Herding Championship in June of 2010 in two weekends with five 3 point major wins on both sheep and ducks. In 2011, I decided to try Advanced A Cattle and he finished his HXAc. Then I retired him from competition, but we still worked together doing stock set out and pen work at the local trials.
When I heard about the new Master Herding titles starting in January of 2012, I was excited to be able to compete with him again, as he is only 8 years old, in the prime of his life. We returned to trialing this past March. earned his Master Advanced B Course Duck title in eight straight trials, finishing the title on May 27, 2012 with another High in Trial! He is also working towards his A Cattle, A Sheep and A Duck Master titles.
