Fifth Series

Test five is a mixed-bag land quad with two flyers and two retired guns, set in the sweeping vista of the Mead Ranch. On the right of the test, two sets of guns stand on the right side of a long winding ditch that descends a steep broad hillside. The longer station, more left than the shorter one, stands at 395 yards, double pops and throws a hen mallard from right to left into the intersection of the ditch (where two ravines coming down the hillside join). This is the first bird thrown. Next, the shorter station at 295 yards throws a hen pheasant at a sharp angle back from left to right on the hillside. Both of these gun stations retire. Well to the left, two flyer stations are set about seventy yards apart, with the shorter station on the right at 135 yards shooting a rooster pheasant from left to right up the hill as the third bird. On the far left, the fourth bird, a drake mallard flyer, is shot from left to right as well, up the hill at 200 yards from the line. Video Clips:
