Seventh Series

Test seven is a 310-yard land blind with a dry pop. The dog and the handler come to the mat and signal to the judges. The dry pop, positioned 180 yards out, fires, and then the handling team is given a number. The dog goes down a steep hill, crosses a deep ravine, and then angles and climbs a challenging hillside along a left-hand tree line to the bird, a hen pheasant. Note: The judge taps the handler on the shoulder while the dog is en route so that he can move up closer to handle. Video Clips:

Sixth Series

Test six is a 350-yard water blind with the line set atop a grassy hill. Below, two small ponds lay off-line to the right. They contain numerous decoys. The line descends down the hill, across a road and to the left of the small ponds, then into a finger of the long winding pond below. The proper line then crosses a point that juts out from the right hand shoreline and angles across the pond and just past a deeper point with tules on the left side with a continued swim for twenty more yards to the shoreline on the far bank and up 20 additional yards to the dead duck.
