Purina Dinner

Monday night Purina hosted a dinner for everyone involved with the National Retriever Championship. Nestle Purina - The Official Sponsor of the 2006 National Retriever Championship Stake whose generous contributions include a cash donation to the workers party and cocktail party, banners, tote bags, jackets, shirts, line area tents, dog food and the remote sound system.

Third Series

The dogs were cast from a mat to a "hidden entry" water blind of approximately 180 yards. Immediately in front of the dogs was a log. The dogs proceeded across a road and down an embankment into the water. Once in the water the dogs were required to swim approximately 20 yards, cross a point and re-enter the water. This point was sprinkled with a dozen goose silhouettes. After another swim of about 35 yards, the dogs had to cross another point, re-enter the water and proceed to a third spit of land. From here, the dogs had a swim of about 50 yards to the opposite shore line. The final destination was up the shore approximately 20 yards and near a tree line. Second Series

Second series started at 7am and it's a land blind. The blind is planted at approximately 250-300 yards from the line and there is a diversion bird thrown right to left. The series is moving fast. Video Clips:
