Tenth Series
The tenth and final series was a water quad with two retired guns. The setting was a very nice stick pond with a dam at one end and surrounded by pasture. The cover was again sparse with grass around about 6" to 8" high. The test was run from a side of a hill overlooking the pond. The first bird was thrown on the opposite side of the pond and up a slightly sloping hill. At a distance of approximately 260 yards, the bird was thrown right to left. The second bird was on one of the points off the far side of the pond and was thrown right to left at a slight back angle. This bird was at a distance of approximately 175 yards. The third bird, a flyer pheasant, was well to the right of the first bird, but nearer the shoreline at a distance of approximately 150 yards. The bird was thrown and shot angling up the hill, from right to left. The fourth bird was to the left of the running line. This was a live pheasant, thrown left to right and was landing approximately 80 yards from the line. Once all the birds were down, gunning stations one and two retired to nearby holding blinds (well camoflauged).

Ninth Series
The ninth series, a land quad, was run in a pasture area that consisted primarily of short (6" to 8") grass with higher growth in the drain-off areas. The terrain slopped slightly down hill and then slightly uphill to the areas where the birds fell. Run from atop a slight mound area, the first bird was to the left of the running line at a distance of approximately 200 yards. This bird was thrown right to left and at a slight back angle. The true line to this bird incorporated the corner of a non-visible (from the line) pond. The second bird was just to the right of this bird but was approximately 25 yards shorter at 175 yards. The bird was thrown left to right. These two gunning stations retired to a single blind once all birds were down. The third, and longest mark (pheasant hen flyer), was just to the right of bird number 2. This gunning station was at approximately 250 yards and the bird was thrown and shot angling back away from the running line. Bird number 4 was to the right of the running line at a distance of approximately 100 yards (fall area). The bird was a live flyer cock pheasant and was shot right to left angling slightly away from the running line.
