Sixth Series

Land Triple - This test is set in a picturesque canyon. The long middle bird, a dead hen pheasant, is at a distance of 265 yards thrown to the right. The guns retire into a completely enclosed and brushed holding blind. Second bird shot is a hen pheasant flyer on the left of the test and also flighted to the left into rabbit brush and sage at 165 yards. These guns also retire into an enclosed and brushed blind. The go-bird is on the right. The guns are located at the base of the hills bordering the right side of the canyon and a rooster pheasant flyer is shot to the left across an irrigation ditch and into sage. A dry runoff ditch snakes through the floor of the canyon.

The running line is situated on the steep hillside sloping to the pasture below. The correct route to the middle bird angles the hill, crosses the irrigation ditch, angles the runoff ditch, goes through a pond and some sage up to the bird. All three birds are very challenging.
