Third Series - Water Triple

The third series was a water triple with two retired guns. The first bird (duck) was to the left, thrown right to left. The bird landed in little to no cover right near the waters edge. The second bird (rooster pheasant) was at an angle of approximately 45 degrees to the right of bird number one. This bird was thrown from left to right in knee high cover. The last bird down was a flyer duck, right of the running line at a distance of approximately sixty yards. The bird was landing in mid-thigh high sage brush. As the dog was cast for the go bird, the number one and two gunning stations retired behind well concealed holding blinds.

Update (9:45 pm PST): The last dog to run today was number 79 (the starting dog this morning was 96). There are 16 dogs left to run the water triple tomorrow. Video Clips:
