Everyone that flew into Minneapolis this morning experienced some delays. Air Force One arrived with President Bush, who was giving a speech in the area. The drive up to Virgina, MN from Duluth is beautiful. We stopped at several sites along the way. Right before Virginia, MN is the United States Hockey Hall of Fame. This year is the 25th Anniversary of the memorable 1980 Olympic Team.

Mining is big in this area and there are statues dedicated to the individuals that contributed to it's success. The Hull Rust Mahoning Mine is described as the "Grand Canyon of the North." The maximum length of the pit is 3.5 miles, east to west. The maximum width of the open pit is 1.5 miles, north to south.

At the Hibbing Park Hotel you could could see a lot of familar faces to retriever field trials. Meetings are being held tomorrow and the event starts Sunday. Please check our site for information and photos.
