First Series - Open

The open first series started with a land quad with two retired guns. Pheasants at all stations. From left to right the first gunner was at about 400 yards. Pheasant thrown left to right and a retired gunner. Second pheasant, at approximately 200 yards, was a flyer thrown right to left. Third pheasant thrown right to left at 100 yards (retired gunner). The last pheasant was thrown right to left at approximately 120 yards.

Several American Kennel Club Board Members came to the Del Bay trial today. AKC Chairman Ron Menaker, Vice Chairman Hon. David C. Merriam and Walter F. Goodman all visited the Open (first series) test area. Bill Speck, AVP of Performance Events, gave a description of the test and Judge Phil Heye described the test from the line.
