They don't call Alaska the land of the midnight sun for nothing. The third series of the Open wrapped up a little past 11 p.m. last night. The water blind was run this morning and the judges provided all the results this evening at the tailgate party.
Open All-Age

Coverage of the Derby
The first series for the Derby was a land double. The first bird, a dead duck, was thrown from left to right at approximately 230 yards. The second bird, to the right of the line, was a live flyer duck thrown from left to right at approximately 160 yards.
All dogs running are Labrador Retrievers, except for number 2 (a Golden).

At the end of the first series, ten dogs were brought back (1, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, 10, 11, 12 and 14).
Second series was an out of order double. Short bird was thrown first and then the long bird.
Long bird was approximately 275 yards from the line. Callbacks after the second: 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, 10, 11, 12 and 14.
Third series was a double water mark. Callbacks after the third: 6, 7, 9, 10, 12 and 14. Fourth series had two water marks.
