The second series started on Wednesday March 29th at 8:00 AM.

1A) DC/AFC Upn'Adams Super Sioux (GSP female) Tom & Katie Tazza owners; Katie Tazza handler.
1B) Celtic's Sedition (Irish Setter male) Paul Ober owner, Scott Beyer handler.

Rebel ran a nice edge running race with a back at 7. He pointed intensely on three occasions but the handler was unable to locate the game. Sioux had an excellent quail find at 7 and a second quail find late in the brace. She ran a fine forward race. She was called back for a retrieve and did so satisfactorily.

2A) DDS Tobias Weiss (GSP male) Glenn E. Fussell, M.D. owner, David King handler.
2B) Dietz's Sasha Nogoodnick (Weimaraner female) Owned by Pam Dietz; handled by Scott Beyer.

Toby scored a good find at 16 on chucker, he retrieved it nicely. Sasha carded a quail find on the right edge at 14. She had a find on chucker at 27, with a good retrieve.

3A) FC Echo's Little Bit of Clown (GSP female) Ed & Trudy Moody owners, Ray Dohse handler.
3B) FC/AFC B. Dock Beacon, MH (GSP male) Bill & Susan Felins owners, Bill Felins handler.

Bitty scored four gorgeous finds in an excellent race. Her first find was on quail at 15. At 23 she got her retrieve with a pretty find on chucker. She marked her bird well and retrieved promptly. She scored stylish finds again at 26 and 34. She finished her race with attractive moves. Dock hunted nicely forward. He pointed at 19 but lost style and his handler opted to end his bid.

4A) Docktor Zeke of Petit Way (Vizsla male) Dr. James & Cindy Rosborough owners, Bob Seelye handler.
4B) FC/AFC Trace's Silver Twist (GSP male) Bob Erbe & Doreen Fernandez owners, Bob Erbe handler.

Zeke pointed at 4 with Hook backing. Both were mannerly and Zeke completed his retrieve. Zeke went on to have good finds at 10 and 23. He pointed again at 31, but took steps as the birds flushed over his head. Hook had barren stands at 27 and 44.

5A) FC/AFC Semper FI Colonels Pride (Vizsla male) Dave Pomfret owner and handler.
5B) Bitteroot Semper Fi Cutter ( Vizsla male) Clint Sails owner and handler.

These Vizsla's were forward from the start. Cutter pointed feathers at 5. He had a successful quail find at 8. At that time Colonel was ahead but had an improper encounter with game. Cutter went on the score five more finds. He ran a medium race and finished slightly shorter than he began.

6A) Palm Glade's Shameless Sally (GSP female) Dave Walker & Mark Brent owners, Dave Walker handler.
6B) FC Scattergun's Maggie (GSP female) Ed & Trudy Moody owners, Ray Dohse handler.

These two started as if they would make a difference in this stake. By 14, Sally was not pleasing her handler and was leashed. Maggie scored four finds in a pretty race. She moved during the flush on her fourth find.

Following the day's running the Tri-tronics representatives demonstrated their products to an interested group. A banquet was held after the Social hour. The winners were announced at that time.

• FC Echo's Little Bit of Clown was named Champion of the 2006 AKC Retrieving Stake, Ed & Trudy Moody owners, Ray Dohse handler.
• DC/AFC Upn'Adams Super Sioux was awarded second, Tom & Katie Tazza owners; Katie Tazza handler.
• Third place was withheld.
• Bitteroot Semper Fi Cutter placed fourth, Clint Sails owner and handler.

The Championship winner, Bitty naturally won the Top German Shorthaired Pointer distinction.

Cutter was the Top Vizsla of the Retrieving Championship.

Top Brittany went to Belle's Beau Max owned by Gary Nelson and handled by David King.

Top Irish Setter went to Celtic's Sedition owned by Paul Ober and handled by Scott Beyer.

Top Weimaraner went to Dietz's Sasha Nogoodnick owned by Pam Dietz and handled by Scott Beyer.
