Saturday morning came and a new record was set at the AKC SPO National Championship. A record entry of 289 and there were 101 thirteen inch males entered today. Beacause of such a large entry in the 13 inch class, the Field Trial Committee decided that it had to be split. The entire class is drawn into a Division A and a Division B. Each advertised judge is put with a division and an un-advertised judge goes with each judge (two judges for each division - 1 advertised and one not). Second series will draw an even number from each division and the two advertised judges will then judge for the rest of the day. For a more detailed description of the rules, see Procedure 6-C of the Regulations.
