West Highland White Terrier Club of America Earthdog Test
June 22, 2007 - Moscow, PA

The Pocono Earthdog Cluster started off with a wonderful Earthdog test on Friday, June 22 at the Frey Farm in Moscow, PA. It was followed by two days of Earthdog tests hosted by Lackawanna Kennel Club. While the WHWTCA's roving national specialty was being held at the same time in California, those who couldn't make that long trip from the east were spending a beautiful day hunting rats at this scenic Pocono site.

Test Chair Lou Herczig and Test Secretary Joe Mazur have run Earthdog tests before and have everything down pat. Efficient gate stewards, cooperative judges, and happy exhibitors ably assisted them. The den sites were just beautiful. Wild strawberries were abundant underfoot but to pick wild blueberries you have to come back August 25th-26th for the two day Lackawanna KC Earthdog weekend. For anyone wanting to give Earthdog a try for the first time, you couldn't do any better than to try it here. The combination of great dens, great people, great food, and natural beauty make this an Earthdog test to put on your calendar!
