Terrier Club of Michigan Fall Earthdog Event
Near Addision, MI (Sept. 23-24, 2006)

By Robert A. "Bob" Mason, AKC Senior Executive Field Representative

The Terrier Club of Michigan held its fall Earth Dog event Saturday and Sunday at the Detroit Beagle Club's property, near Addison, MI.

The Beagle Club has a great place to hold all kinds of dog performance events. Besides Beagle field trials and Earthdog tests, this location also hosts Dachshund field trials.

The weather was wet for a while and windy on Sunday, but both dogs and handlers had a very good time doing what they like best - going to ground.

Titles were won by several dogs, and many conformation champions, such as Doug Greeminger's Border Terrier Ch. Riverside Whiskey Strait-up and Barbara Oz's Wire Fox Terrier, Ch. SuchAwire Head To Toe.

New Master Earthdog went to breeder/owner/handler Lynn McCain's Lakeland Terrier, Ch. Tolyn's Double Dare Ya.

Briarclifs Golly Miss Molly, West Highland Terrier, owned by Beth Widdows, took the Iron Dog award, which is earned by the dog scoring highest in both Senior and Master classes during the two-day event.
