Sunday, October 4, 2009 – Blue Bell, Pennsylvania

The Montogomery County Kennel Club held it's 75th, All-Terrier specialty show on Sunday, October 4th 2009 at Montgomery Community College in Blue Bell, PA.

This year's event enjoyed a beautiful sunny day with temperatures in the low 70's.

The superintendent reported that there were 1858 dogs entered at this show with a total entry of 2272 in 30 different breeds or varieties.

During a speech prior to the group judging by MCKC Vice President and Show Chairman, Hon. David C. Merriam, the passing Dr. M. Josephine Deubler this year was honored with a moment of silence.

Dr. Deubler had been the show chair from 1977 to 2006 as well as secretary of MCKC for many years. Her devotion, skill and attention to detail set the supreme example of the ideal show chair.

Best in Show judge, Mr. Peter J. Green, selected as this year's Group 1 / BIS winner, the Scottish Terrier, CH Roundtown Mercedes of Maryscot. Second in the group was the Lakeland Terrier, CH Tuscaroran Champ Luna, third was the Irish Terrier CH Fleet ST Fenway Fan and fourth was the Norwich Terrier, CH Skyscot's Poker Chip.
