The Bermuda All Breed Club and The Dog Training Club of Bermuda held a series of dog shows and trials under the regulations of the Bermuda Kennel Club from Oct. 30 to Nov. 5. Top judges from around the world judged these events at the Botanical Gardens in Paget Parish, Bermuda. The Bermuda All Breed Club held six shows in four days, and The Dog Training Club of Bermuda held six obedience and six agility trials.
Besides fantastic dog shows and agility trials, exhibitors could take in the opening of Parliament, a traditional ceremony marking the opening of Parliament by His Excellency the Governor (a personal representative of the Queen) or the World Rugby Classic featuring former top players from around the world. And ..."Remember, remember the fifth of November." Nov. 5 marked the 400-year anniversary of the infamous Gunpowder Plot, which involved 13 men, including Guy Fawkes, who conspired to blow up Britain's Houses of Parliament in London. The town of St. George held its 2nd annual 'Funday Sunday,' which concluded with a Guy Fawkes bonfire.
