2008 World Agility Championships
Agility June World Team Practice

The AKC/USA World Agility Championship team held its first practice June 20-22, 2008, at the Ann Braue Canine Dog Training School in Chippewa Falls, Wis. Ann Braue donated the perfect practice location. The team practiced on carpeted surface as well as grass to prepare for the tough competition ahead in Helsinki, Finland. The World Championships will be held September 26-28, 2008. The courses presented by Coach Nancy Gyes and Assistant Coach Kathie Leggett helped the team prepare for the difficult courses expected from the World Championship judges.

The sponsor of the World Team, I Love Dogs, Inc., provided the shirts that will be worn on the Thursday practice in Helsinki and were worn at the practice in Wisconsin. Attached are the pictures of the team members and random shots of the practice.

The AKC's Andy Hartman was present for his first team practice and enjoyed the teamwork and camaraderie exhibited by all in attendance. Andy will be the Team Leader in Helsinki when assuming his new duties as Agility Director at the end of this month.
